About Omaha Guitar Trio
The Omaha Guitar Trio was officially founded at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2010. All graduates from UNO as classical performance and education majors, OGT is passionate about raising a literate, open-minded generation of young guitarists. Instructing at private studios, music shops, and at the Omaha Conservatory of Music, OGT teaches several master-classes a year, along with giving educational presentations at numerous schools throughout the metro.
Featuring Andrew Stickman, Max, Meyer, and Kevin Sullivan, OGT presents a fresh, original attitude to the classical music world. Their devotion to classical technique and discipline mixed with contemporary guitar styles is laced underneath lush musical landscape, ranging from a Midwestern farmland to the driest Spanish desert. Since their debut, OGT has performed their own renditions of popular music and original compositions in public, private, recital, concert, and salon settings. In the past several years, OGT has been nominated for an Omaha Art & Entertainment Award in a diverse assortment of categories, winning Best Jazz in 2013!!
The Trio is grateful to have shared the stage with notable acts such as Ricardo Iznaola, the Cavatina Duo, and Marcelo Fernandes.
The Trio is actively expanding their tour schedule and in the recent past has traveled to the University of Kansas, Bend, Oregon's Guitar Blast Festival, Iowa, Nebraska City, Denver, CO, and Austin, TX.
